Sad Sad Bicycle

Sad Sad Bicycle is the music of Sai Esquivel Lomas, solo and with a revolving line-up of friends.  With deep roots in Mexico, he grew up some in Oklahoma City and San Antonio, TX, and plays a wide variety of instruments.  Sad Sad Bicycle was born on a song-writing spree that spawned sometime in 2009, when he left his apartment full of old four-track tapes and pawn shop instruments and began traveling full time. He’s been a beet harvester, cook, electronic artist and now summons the creative spirit with this latest endeavor, a personal brand of new mixed genre/folk rock, playing shows around the U.S.

At a prolific, breakneck pace, he’s been recording an arsenal of songs.  Look for his latest, Broken Wing, released New Year’s Eve 2011/2012.

The new album, For Jupiter Alone, is currently scheduled for release this Spring of 2013, recorded with longtime friend and drummer, Derek Jester, in and around the Seattle area.  They plan on having a cassette release as well as digital.
